I woke up to read that Ishmeet Singh died this morning, while swimming in his hotel pool.Barely 20, he was a very talented singer, and his career had just kicked off after he participated in some "Idol"-style singing reality shows.

Jeez, that's a horrible way to wake up. All sympathy to his family; what a horribly sudden way to lose a loved one. :-(
Ajnabi: totally! He was way too young, and could have achieved so much in life...I cant imagine what his parents must b going thru :S
Oh no. I'm sorry. So young. I don't watch Indian Idol but I sympathize with his family. Okay, I lied. The only times I did is when Meiyang Chang was on there cause friend told me to watch it. I did see when John/Bips were there too and Prasant winning.
He won this show called "Voice of India," and came a bit on another random shows. I think he was especialy important as a singer since he was singing outside of what are usually considered "Punjab"-i genres, and working on Bolly mainstream songs. The fact that he was so damnably young makes me feel really bad- kinda like Aaliyah's passing away.
Ooops, sorry for the mix up. I only heard about Indian Idol. You're right. Too young. Too soon.
