This award is given to a blog that invests and believes in PROXIMITY – nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award.
This award was given to me by Banno, who among other things, is a brilliant fiction writer. She would be in my list since I especially love her short fiction, which appears to me RK Narayan-esque, but edgy and contemporary.
Others, in no particular order:
Veracious: who astounds me with her love of Southern cinema, and her persistence in learning Hindi. Also the intense Sakshay love :)
Beth: who is a amazing, fun, intelligent friend, a great blogger, and has been really instrumental with putting the non-Indian blogger on the map.
Memsaab: Whose encyclopedic knowledge of Bollywood never ceases to amaze. And who has a wonderful sense of humor and the deceptively diminutive Gemma as her strengths while she churns up the most exciting of reviews.
Everything Bollywood: Whose extensive collection of Bollywood-related photos, magazine articles, and information is one of my favorite indulgences.
Bollywood Food Club: Her love of Indian cinema is palpable- you can almost taste it in every post she makes.
The Army of Monkeys: The most detailed, hilarious reviews on the planet! His reviews are long, but I doubt anyone can stop reading when they start. He engages you in his writing and brings a unique perspective.
Indiequill: Heartfelt, intelligent, concise writing.
Trupti: Simple, honest, heartfelt blog, focusing on food and all about relationships.
Nicki: She loves cinema, has a wonderful history and truly cares- which reflects in her blog.
BollywoodFan: Good friend, intelligent writer and the best Amir-historian on the planet.
The PPCC- Funny, intelligent, and very apt reviews, and an abiding love of the Shashi!

Humm...interesting list. I too have to go through them all.
I also liked the new title picture.
My persistence in learning Hindi is ..not that much to be honest! I still have my Teach Yourself Hindi book but I'm not taking classes and so I mostly just learn by watching movies. I guess that's something all the same. Thanks!
I thank you and my deceptively diminutive dog thanks you (and it's perfect description of her!) :-)
