"Taare" update

I am getting a bit worried here- Aamir was supposedly in LA through November 7 to promote "Taare Zameen Par" for the Oscars- but that was a visit comprising less than 10 working days. No doubt he has other commitments, including Ghajini coming up for release real fast, but I really wish more was happening to promote the movie.

Taare also didn't come back with anything from the Asia Pacific Screen Awards, and while that isn't the end-all, it does put things in perspective. A lot of lobbying is going to be required ... but we shouldn't worry- Aamir has been there and done that, so he must know what's best for his own movie for sure :) Trusting in the Aamir, and hoping for the best!

TS: ABsolutely right! She is so amazingly beautiful, especially in that one :)

BollyFan: I definitely agree with u that the DVD release helps- it would create buzz, as it has done for a lot of foreign movies in the past. Sure, it may not directly affect the jury, but it must have a subliminal effect. I really do want this one :)

Sigh. **wonders if ajnabi will EVER get to watch this movie**

Oh yes, Rekha in 'Utsav' can never be forgotten. Golden skin.

But I thought Anuradha Patel was equally gorgeous too in the film.

Perhaps it was those sensuous costumes and jewellery.

Ajnabi: Lols- i'm sure you will in time :)

Banno: I have a crazy theory that Anuradha somehow benefitted by working w/ Rekha: we have of course Utsav, where I agree she was luminous, but then there is also Ijazat, where she was really brilliant, matching Naseer and Rekha perfectly- so maybe Rekha was a catalyst for Anuradha? I dont recall Anu acting as well in anything else- it was horrible that she lost the filmfare that year to Sonu Walia :S

Hey great blog Shweta...came to yours via Memsaab's...Well I think Aamir knows what he is doing (he always knows everything)had a chance to meet him for an underarm cricket match...where we played against Aamir's Lagaan 11 & he was the only guy who practiced Underarm cricket for a month to win that Match...think when he can be so dedicated for a silly match like that...OSCARs are a BIG DEAL!!!He'll leave no stone unturned....
